A personal project to recreate every outfit worn by every historical main character in the American Girl series of books and dolls. (Now banned in the state of Florida for not being revisionist enough!) Characters are done at random.
Every doll uses the "Pinky Senior" base by Francesca/Pink Land.These images are for non-commercial use only and can not be used for frankendolling (is that still a thing?) or in your own art, be it graphics for your own site or socials, banners, icons, NFTs, AI training, crypto slop, etc. If you share or adopt a doll, please use your own hosting service and provide a link to either this page or one of my socials with credit.
Kirsten Larson - Minnesota, 1854
Kirsten and her family immigrate to the US from Sweden due to a lack of available arable land, persecution against those not part of the Lutheran state church, and backlash against mandatory military service for men. Once the long journey across ocean and country to her uncle's farm ends, Kirsten struggles with life on the frontier, adapts to the language and culture of her new home, and learns the plight of the native tribes whose lands were stolen by the federal government and given to immigrants like her uncle.
Aduke "Addy" Walker - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1864 (?/?)
Born into slavery on a plantation in North Carolina, Addy and her mother escape to the north after her father and older brother are sold to another owner. After a trecherous trip on foot and cart through the Underground Railroad, the two settle in Philadelphia. Once there, Addy attends school for the first time, learns that life in freedom has its own trials, and works to reunite her separated family.
